Hiring pa, sound & av around Devizes
Devizes sits in Wiltshire (SN10), inside EventSpeed's launch corridor. Old corn-market town at the western end of the Vale of Pewsey, its wide Georgian Market Place a regular fixture in the country’s favourite-market-town lists, with the Caen Hill flight of 29 locks climbing out of town on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Entertainment kit around Devizes carries one extra question: curfews and neighbours. The Market Place carries the town’s own calendar, from the carnival that has run since 1912 to the DOCA winter lantern parade, while farm venues out on the surrounding chalk downland fill the marquee-wedding diary; Wadworth’s Victorian tower brewery is the fixed landmark suppliers use for directions. Confirm the site's noise expectations in writing and pass them to the supplier with the brief.

PA, sound & AV hire in Devizes: quick answers
Do pa & sound system suppliers deliver to Devizes?
Yes. Devizes (SN10) sits inside the Oxfordshire–Cotswolds–M4 corridor where most event hire depots quote a 20 to 30 mile radius, so it is covered from several directions. Delivery is normally included within that radius; confirm the exact drop position and access when you book.
When should I book pa & sound system for an event in Devizes?
For May to September weekends around Devizes, book 2 to 4 months ahead; premium items and peak Saturdays go earlier. Off-season and midweek dates are far more flexible, often at better prices.
What will a Devizes supplier ask me before quoting?
Four things, every time: the date, the guest count, the exact site (a SN10 postcode plus what the ground is like), and access: how close a vehicle gets to where the kit goes. Have those ready and quotes come back faster and more accurate.
How much does pa & sound system hire cost near Devizes?
Wiltshire sits mid-range on national pricing, so the same guide figures apply here: PA hire typically costs £80 to £150 per day for a speech and playlist system, £250 to £600 for a band-ready rig, and £1,500+ per day for engineered festival systems. Check the venue noise curfew before booking: it shapes system choice and the running order.
What PA do I need for outdoor wedding speeches?
A battery or generator-fed pair of powered speakers with a handheld radio mic covers up to about 200 guests outdoors. Spend the extra £30 on a second mic: passing one microphone between nervous speakers is where speeches go wrong.
Is there PA or sound system hire near me?
Yes: PA and sound suppliers across the Oxfordshire–Cotswolds–M4 corridor typically quote a 20 to 30 mile delivery radius, so towns across the launch corridor are covered from one direction or another. Use the town pages on this hub for what applies locally, or describe your event once and get matched to whichever verified supplier actually covers your postcode.
